The Mission

NerdZap exists simply because I’ve always loved tinkering with tech and helping others figure things out. My goal is to channel that enthusiasm into creating the clearest, most reliable guides on the internet for the Steam Deck, Windows, and whatever piece of hardware I’m taking apart next.

How It Started

I didn't set out to build a brand. I just wanted to combine three things I find joy in: tech, helping people, and the creative process of editing videos.

The channel was actually born during a particularly stressful chapter of my life. While it might sound counter-intuitive to take on more work during hard times, I needed a distraction. Focusing on something I genuinely enjoyed gave me an outlet that, in many ways, literally saved me. I love doing this, and I hope that passion shows in the content.

The Reality Behind the Screen

While NerdZap (hopefully) looks like a polished operation, it is currently a one-man show. I handle every aspect of production personally: scripting, researching, filming, editing, designing thumbnails, and even coding the website you are looking at right now.

By day, I have over 17 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and currently work full-time in Cyber Security. Between a demanding day job and life as a busy dad, time is my scarcest resource. I create this content in the spare moments I can find... usually powered by late nights, pure passion, and strong beer coffee.
